It is signposted on the home screen after the end of the assessment period (so about a week before payment is received).

Hi Spoonie_Turtle
thanks for the heads up. I found the claimants statements and it’s a relief to be able to physically see where the sums are being deducted and also have some evidence of what the claimants initial UC benefits were when they made their initial claim. Thanks for that.Do you happen to know if “Transitional Protection” was openly discussed when UC was being created or was first being implemented? Were claimants made aware of its existence and its role? When I helped the claimant fill in their paperwork and file their application, I don’t ever remember their being discussion of transitional protection. I was mainly focussed on making sure that the claimant got like for like benefits so it may have been my fault that I didn’t come across its role as I focused on the accuracy of the initial payment, but I clearly don’t remember ever hearing about it.

Yes Transitional Protection was discussed and all information about it was made available. The letters regarding move to UC provided a link to the Gov.uk website which fully explained how transitional protection would work.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
