2 year old PCN - help needed as not sure what to do

I received a PCN from HX in Sept 2024. Their machine wasn’t working and my VRN didn’t appear on the screen when I tapped it in. I paid for a ticket with cash and displayed it in my car. I didn’t keep the ticket as I thought I’d be ok as I had paid. Incidentally I tried to pay online but had no signal. They said I breached their terms by only entering one letter of my VRN. I explained they must know I paid for the ticket as they have CCTV. They admitted they know I paid but I had still breached the terms. I appealed and it was declined. I wrote a letter to their parking body, it was declined. I received an email from Gladstone solicitors which I responded to. My appeal was declined. In Dec 2024 I received a Letter Before Claim from Gladstone solicitors. I’ve now received a 2nd Letter Before Claim.
I can no longer log on to the appeals page with HX so cannot access and is the documentation / evidence between us.
I can’t remember the details and dates as it all happened 2 years ago.
Do I reply to Gladstone 2nd Letter Before Claim? If so is there a link for the letter as I really struggle to find what I need on the site. Thanks with the hope can get back to this page to see any responses I might get.

Your in the right place for specific help but reading up on here ALOT is required to get the bigger picture .

I wont say its easy but I certainly wouldnt pay the try hards just because they send dressed up letters ,threats and demands .

Your dealing with sharp practise from bullys to the tune of a billion annually so need to focus on what the regulars on here tell you exactly and not what the private scammers with no authority are telling you .

You know to click on the wording Parking tickets fines & parking in a white oblong box (there's one at the top and bottom of every page) This will always take you back to page 1 of the forum.

Click on NEWBIES go to POST 2 - Small Claim, it starts with the letter to reply to the Letter of Claim.

One of the ways to find your thread/posts again is to click on your picture profile (white circle with blue head) top right. Then click on My Posts then the post you want to view.

Everyone with old PCNs is now getting a new Gladstones LBC, sometimes even 3 or 4 years after the first!

Loads of current threads you can read like yours. I think they must have a staff member on barrel-scraping duty, digging out all the old ones they dropped the ball on previously, to see if they can 'extort money from motorists' (MHCLG phrase from 2022).

I wonder if Gs are not getting enough new business right now, due to DCB Legal and Moorside Legal being more successful & raining on their parade. Poor old John Davies. Get out your tiny violins!

Obviously you MUST tell Gs if you move because you must see & promptly open every letter in case of a Claim Form.

Come back here if ever you get a small claim. Unlike @BlueonBlue I am gonna say defending IS easy! It's just copy & paste stuff - easier than appeal.
