Euro Car Parks - Sainsburies Brentwood
I've received a Euro Car Parks PCN for Sainsburies in Brentwood, which going on their google reviews I'm not the first. Signage is utterly inadequate, I reviewed the dash cam footage and there is no visible/readable signage beyond the typical Sainsburies 'maximum 2.5 hour stay'.
I have attempted to get this cancelled via Sainsburies, both over email and phone, but its not a local store so I cannot go in, so I'm going to show willing and send a written appeal.
I'm assuming it's going to trickle on, the usual barrage of fake balliff letters/increasing invoices, until it gets to MCOL and is then discontinued.
I vaguely remember a few years ago that someone replied with their time costs if the parking company continued to harass them with reminders/the usual barrage of !!!!!!. Is this still a substantial idea or has it been put to bed?

Have a read of the “Newbies” thread.
Plan A is to complain to Sainsburys. Either in store to the manager and/ or online to the complaints team

What's the allegation if not an overstay?

'Greedy' Brentwood Sainsbury's car parking price hike leaves residents furious
Changed a year ago, it seems:
"The cost to use the car park has now risen to £2, although parking is still free for shoppers who spend a minimum of £10 in-store. It had been previously free for two and a half hours as long as you spent £5."
Sainsbury’s has stated that changes to the parking cost at its Brentwood store are designed so customers can enter and leave, 'encouraging them to shop efficiently'.
CODSWALLOP!
There is no way that idea came from Sainsburys. IMHO this change will have been because ECP wasn't making enough money from the site.
It is appalling that supermarkets appear to let ANPR firms dictate onerous changes that drive away their customers!
