Heathrow Drop-off. Autopay Didn't work. Appeal Rejected :(

Hi folks, I just found about this forum after my appeal was rejected by APCOA :(. I have an AutoPay account setup, so I assumed that it will be deducted when I went on holiday, (a friend dropped me off in my car). Yes, that and the fact you weren't driving so you can't be held liable.
They might have worked that out from "I was away on holiday when this PCN was delivered" which tells them you were likely the passenger being dropped off.
However I agree with your cynical view and it's noticeable that they haven't explained why their autopay system failed.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
