Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
I was up during the night then slept until the alarm so feel a bit meh at the moment. I'll need to waken up as I'm driving to Durham after work to meet up with friends to spend the day with them tomorrow. I'll need to come back tomorrow night as it's the little one's birthday on Sunday so need to be party ready!
Not raining at the moment but I don't think the rain is far away. Lots of washing from my visitors draped about the house, they were very good and stripped the beds.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX

Morning again, it's fine here, chilly though.
Hope you have a good journey Camelot, and enjoy your meet up with friends. Are you coming to Durham city or Co Durham?
Yesterday was an ok day, I was busy with ironing and generally tidying and DH tidied the garden a bit.
We might go out somewhere today, if the weather forecast is good.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day, take care folks.

Thanks for the start Scarlet
Just catching up - don’t think I’ve posted all week. Not much to tell really, DM much the same, oncologist appt was ok but he won’t consider different treatment until she’s stabilised and he’s seen another scan - meanwhile another blood transfusion required tomorrow. So for now will just plod on.
Trying to do some tidying in the garden now that the ground has softened. DF is doing lots too, probably to the detriment of his knee pain.
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend. Take care

Good morning
Bright and sunny, but chilly. I'm sure it'll soon warm up.
Yesterday brought a bit of a shock, the surgery left a message on Dh's phone asking him to contact them. As he'd had a blood test the day before we thought the worst. When he rang the receptionist explained his thyroid results were "borderline" and they want to do another test in six weeks time. Phew! That was a worrying couple of hours.
Laundry to do today as rain is forecast for tomorrow. Chicken kievs, jacket potato and coleslaw tonight.
@RedRuby1231 good to see you back, glad you had a good holiday but sorry the trip home wasn't good.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. @camelot1001 - have a good time in Durham, it's a lovely city. Enjoy your gardening @AlwaysAllie.
I had a much better night's sleep, almost twice the hours I had on Wednesday night. Yesterday I eventually decided to go out for lettuce and fruit then saw a parking space right outside the Red Cross CS so nipped in with two bags of clothes for them. There's still a bag of books though I'll take them elsewhere.
The pink jacket I ordered is going back, it's not really me so it's packed ready to be collected by RM this morning. Before that the grass-cutter bloke is coming (if the rain holds off long enough).
Have a good day everyone, I hope that the poorlies are doing at least OK, hugs to all.

Morning all
It’s been raining all night but sunny now I have just hung the last of the holiday washing on the line it should dry well today.
I went and collected my shopping yesterday and nipped into the shop for something I forgot and picked up two tesco finest burrata with sun dried tomatoes in the YS section so that will be the basis of our dinner with crusty bread for me and GF for OH and some cold meats, dd is out for the evening so will eat out.
I need to do some housework today and walk the dogs, I am still quite tired so will have a rest this afternoon.
DD is still waiting for a move date it’s the other people holding it up but we will hopefully hear soon.
Has York’s lass been about recently ?
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone
Felt chilly when I let my cat out, the forecast is for sunshine later so it should warm up a bit. Little one came for a couple of hours after school, it was pouring when I picked her up from school, she had a coat I didn't , but we only had to walk over the road to DDs car.
I'll go down to see mam and dad this morning, the sale of their house should be completed today, I'll wait and see what their moods are as to whether I tell them today or not.
Camelot no it was my birthday on the 1st, I had just thought to look at my Sparks card offers.
Hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. CAMELOT enjoy your little trip away. I visited Durham many years ago but don't remember much about it now.
We had a beautiful start here and it feels less chilly than it was yesterday. Sadly it wasn't to last and the blue sky and sun of earlier has now been replaced by cloud. No rain but that is forecast for later. It's never far away just now after all the weeks of not seeing any.
Nothing happening today, just the usual Friday Tidy. Yesterday I made an onslaught on the wardrobes and quite a few things hit the charity bags. There is more that I am dithering over that may, or may not, go in too. Stuff I haven't worn in a while yet seem to good to part with.
Have a good day folks if you can and take care all x

It's Durham City Scarlet, I've wanted to go for a long time as I've only ever passed through on the train.
Not sure one day will be enough but I can always go back.

Morning all
Feels a little milder out there today and it's rained overnight
Glad you enjoyed your holiday @RedRuby1231 but rotten luck about your journey home. How did your Mum get on while you were away with her stay at the home?
@dp1 glad little one is coping OK at school
Can't believe it's 25 years since 9/11. I can remember having a few days off work as we were having double glazing fitted and at the last minute they were running over at their last job and they couldn't start until the next day so I was twiddling my thumbs and then by lunchtime the awful news started to filter through and I was glued to the box all day
Have a good day and {{hugs}} to all the poorlies and their families x
