Kent Reliance accounts going online

  • I think those are all of the new documents

The summary of changes refers to Section 18 of the Savings Account Conditions. There aren't any newer ones coming as the accounts have already been moved.

Pages of stuff about this or that version.

Kick KR into touch and go to a provider that knows what it's doing.

I'm afraid you're incorrect. Those documents I posted above are the sum total of what's available. There is no new Savings Account Conditions document anywhere else on the portal (I’ve registered her account and looked) and I’ve had that confirmed today by KR. It looks as though they intended to make online management by third parties possible but they haven’t done it (at least not yet).

I've spent about an hour in total on the phone to three different Kent Reliance customer services people today and they confirmed what I stated above and admitted the two documents are contradictory.

They have already moved the account online. The only way for my relative to access it is online. If I want to manage it for her and provide POA then I can do so, but I can only manage it over the phone (which isn’t going to be happening). It's the most bizarre series of conversations I've ever had with a bank.

Their customer services representatives were very apologetic and obviously I’m not the first to raise this as they say the team managing the move to online accounts are very aware of the problem, but that’s the current state of play.

I raised a formal complaint, if only to make someone higher up the food chain take notice but @flaneurs_lobster is right. Closing the accounts and moving them is the way to go.
