I am with Lloyds,

When ever I am funding a new saving account with a large 6 figure sum, I always attend the branch who are able to action faster payments upto £250k. For me, this is much more convenient than being restricted to a succession of £25k daily transfers via the app.

Can't you open a £1 Direct saver with your debit card and then transfer into the Direct Saver from Lloyds? You can then fund the Income bond from the Direct Saver

I agree.

I pay funds into my Direct Saver by bank transfer then transfer from the Direct Saver to a Guaranteed Growth Bond. Works fine for me with large amounts. Can't see why you can't do the same with Income Bonds.

Hi Poseidon1. Having given up on NS&I, this is what I'll do. Once I get the relevant paperwork through the post I'll go in branch to do the big transfer. In the meantime, I'm making smaller transfers online to another savings account. My savings landscape is so complex that if I ever lose my mind I'm screwed (yes, I am aware of Lasting Power of Attorney).

I understand your predicament with the varied savings pot.

I am in the same boat, but hoping the discipline of managing my diverse savings and investments choices will help stave off cognitive decline, otherwise I am well and truly hoisted by my own petard! It would need a very knowledgeable attorney to step into my shoes, which does not exsist amongst my friends and family circle.
