McAfee upgrade

Hi all,

Please bear with me as I know nothing about computers or anything technical!

I use my OH's laptop at home to access my hotmail and distance learning uni website. He has McAfee installed. Up until now I have had to disable the privacy setting in order to be able to log on. Following an upgrade whatever we try we are unable to log on to those websites. It is getting pretty desparate now as I have assessments and uni work to be doing and can't keep using my work computer.

Does anyone have any ideas about what we should try?

There must be some options in the internet security or firewall settings to allow this website access. Have a look through the options and ensure everything connected with your distance learning site is added.

You may want to try some better security software. Any of the free ones are better than McAfee.
