CPM - BW Legal parking fine
Hi everyone,
Firstly I would like to offer my special thanks for finding time to assist me this, it’s unbelievable how much help is being offered here to fight these scum parking companies
I received a ticket first time ever through post from CPM in a location where there were absolutely no clear signs on 11th August 2025. On the entrance which suddenly is infront of you when you turn into the road it mentions it’s “Private Road”, you through the private road and you come to council like buildings with flats which is where I was going
I have been following the newbies thread on how to deal with these guys. First came the CPM letters and as instructed I sent a response to them using below:
Re PCN number:
I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle.
If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.
If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner.
After above it got passed onto “Debt Recovery Plus” last few saying legal action imminent albeit nothing happened.
Now, I received first letter from BW Legal and then last letter from BW legal which is the “Letter of Claim” I have attached to this post.
Just bit of confirmation, do I send them the below or wait further?
==============
Dear Sirs,
Your ref: [insert reference number]
Proposed legal proceedings
Claimant: [insert name of parking company]
I refer to your letter of claim.
I confirm that my address for service for the time being is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:
[Insert correct address here]
You should revert to your client because the 'propensity to pay' score in my case is zero, so any claim is hopeless and a waste of the court fee (whether 'fronted' by your firm or not). Move on to weaker victims.
The alleged 'debt' is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.
Yours faithfully,
==============
thank you so much for helping!! 🙇♂️

can I ask why do I have to confirm my address in first paragraph?Also, is the idea at any point is to say that it wasn’t me who was driving and build case on that bases?

So that they dont use an old address or incorrect address causing a default CCJ against you
It may be, if true, but depends on if they complied with POFA or not

ok I have sent the email to response@bwlegal.co.uk with the response I post above which I got from newbies thread.
I’m guessing they are not going to respond and just proceed to next step?
