Morning again. It's fine and dry, a good start.
Hope you had a good day yesterday WL, also that you're having a nice weekend Dp1.
Camelot, hope you're feeling a bit better today.
TA, did your shopping trip go well yesterday, hope you're not forcing anything else into the freezer that you've just tidied! I still haven't done mine, it's a job I dislike. Though it's not half as full as it was, I'm doing quite well on that front.
Enjoy your holiday Izzy.
Hope you're doing all right YL,
Feeling a bit meh this morning, no particular reason. Sometimes you just get a bit fed up. I'll brighten up as the day goes on.
Thoughts to the sad and poorly, take care folks.

Good Morning all,
Hope you feel brighter soon SR.I did not get much done yesterday as I suddenly became unwell and then managed to cut my finger so gave up doing housework and sat down with a book.
No firm plans for today, it will probably be sitting in the garden as it is supposed to be sunny, and then watch the football on tv late afternoon.
Dinner tonight will be the bacon pasta bake which I didn’t do yesterday. I need to do it today as the bacon needs using up. Talking of food, when I was online grocery shopping the other day I looked at beef joints and the one I used to buy has now gone up by 90% over the last few years, crazy. Needless to say I didn’t buy it.
Take care all.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It's beautiful at the moment, with early red sky showing over the moors. Sadly it aint going to last as they say heavy rain is on it's way.
SR very little bought to ram in the freezer, just bread stuff and frozen berries. But quite a few tins fell into my trolley as stocks have slowly been diminishing over the summer. I also treat myself to a new nightie and an in-bath mat as current one has seen better days.(A bit like me!)
I reckon this will be another Sunday of Sloth. I've got a cottage pie base out of the freezer so that's just to top and some veg to prep and that's lunch sorted.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take all, be safe x

Morning all
It’s a damp start here but that’s fine for the garden, my chard has suddenly decided to grow after weeks of just being seedlings!
Lovely walk yesterday through a NT parkland and along a canal. But, after 5-6 flattish miles I was shattered, must be old or out of practise cos that’d usually be nothing. Though I was tired to start off with.
Not sure on today’s plans.Hope everyone has a good day

Good morning
Raining here, but due to stop and temperatures to rise to 25degs, will this be the final burst of summer?
Usual chores to do, yesterday was bedding change day, so I'll get them washed when the rain stops. I'm cooking a gammon joint for later, may do some roasties with it, and broccoli cheese (forgot to get a cauli).
Peony, hope you feel better today.
Izzy, enjoy your holiday.
TA, I'm also going through my tin stash ready for winter.
Scarlet, forgot to say thanks for starting, hope you feel better later.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.
Thanks to @Floss yesterday I managed to connect my washing machine to an app to control the start time. Cue a very smug Gers. Then I discovered that it also has a 'delay' button to do the same thing in a much less complicated way. 😂 Cue a much less smug Gers.
Finally, I brought in four loads of logs in from the barn, just small loads each time, filled the big tub by the stove and kept the rest by the side of the sofa. I was struggling with my usual big bag, like @AlwaysAllie it must be an age thing.Though I'm not keen to admit it my smart watch is giving me good insights into some health things. I keep an eye on my sleep which is interesting. Some nights I get a high score for fewer hours but better quality and then lower score for longer hours with frequent awake times. I'm not really awake so don't know what it's measuring.
Today is open for adventures. No shopping needed, it's gloomy though warm. I shall see what the day brings me. I hope that everyone has a good one. Take care, hugs to the unwell and sad. Xx

Morning all from soggy Mehefinland
Must have had quite a bit of overnight rain - it was a glorious sunny day here yesterday. Went on a council led litter pick and 14 people turned up! Mostly the local Air Cadets. The local 'grot spot' was targeted and 14 bags of assorted rubbish, a scooter, traffic cones and a swivel chair were collected. A satisfying feeling and a good community buy in. Sometimes it can feel as if I am the only one who cares/gets annoyed etc. and does the picking so it was good to get engagement.
Time then spent in the garden trying to tidy it up a but - the summer has not been kind to so many plants. Gwen has designs on my front garden so I expect things will change.😁
Trying to declutter old furniture and crockery - just so much accumulated over the years, and stuff which was handed down. Sadly it is mostly stuff which is not fashionable these days so there may be some bits going off to auction - the local charity shops are stuffed and don't want any more.
Hugs and spoons as always -
Mehefin aka Derek

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet. I too feel a bit meh this morning as I was up for an hour or so in the night then fell asleep around 5.30 and slept until 9. It always takes me a while to get going when that happens.
Lots done yesterday, lots of beans picked at the allotments and another bucket of potatoes. Also pulled the last of the beetroot and made some beetroot pickle which was surprisingly easy and used up a couple of soft apples that were sat in the bowl. 5 courgettes again but they have just about finished now (hooray say my friends and neighbours!).
4 loads of washing dried outside yesterday, glad I got that done as it's raining this morning. Just a few things to iron later.
I need to have a big clean as I have visitors this week and am going away next weekend, shopping also to be done and some veggies to be delivered to a friend who I was on my way to when I had the bump.
Must get on, hope you're all well and have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX

Morning all
Sitting down for a coffee after doing some weeding in the garden. Runner beans seem to be having a second wind after the very hot weather killed off lots of the flowers so would be nice to have some to eat eventually! Feels quite pleasant out there too. DH is cleaning the windows too.
Nothing else planned today apart from footie on the tv this afternoon.
Have a good day all x

Morning everyone
It's to be showery here today until this afternoon. I got a lot done in the back garden yesterday, still have weeding to do at the front, I'll maybes get that sorted before work tomorrow.
I have little foster baby for the day, DD and little one have gone to Edinburgh for the day, a treat before she gets her casts on her legs on Tuesday. He's just had a nap and is shouting to get back up.
The rug tufting workshop was a great way to spend a morning, I really enjoyed it.
Hope everyone has a good day x
