Just had this pop up on my ebay messages

Simple Delivery: Free Click & Collect Promotion | eBay.co.uk

Terms and Conditions

Promotion

This promotion is free delivery for your buyer valid on Fashion items priced at £20 or less in eligible categories, excluding the Buyer Protection fee, (the “Promotion”) and:

  • Listed between 1 September 2026 and 31 October 2026, or
  • From 22 September, listed before 31 October 2026; and
  • Sold by 31 October 2026,

(The “Promotion Period”), for eligible “Click and Collect” delivery services available in Simple Delivery on eBay.co.uk (the “Site”).

Strange offer since the only thing I really don't sell is 'fashion' , I just donate all my unwanted clothes as I've always struggled with clothing and odd buyers. I may well have to give this a go and see if it does attract any buyers.

EDIT it does include accessories so I might have a look to see if I have anything to sell that would be eligible.

  1. List and sell eligible Fashion items in the Clothes, Shoes & Accessories category within the Promotion Period.

I'd imagine a direct strategy to compete against Vinted.

Do we expect this offer to make any difference to sales? I've seen no promotion of this to buyers, and the only clue I got as a prospective buyer was that on recent clothing listings with click-and-collect there is no price against the click-and-collect option. Don't think this free postage offer will do any good if the buyers don't know about it!

I got that message about 2 weeks ago but forgot about it till you mentioned it!

I just listed an item of clothing and the usual postage of £2.94 showed as zero when I was listing it. Used my husband's account to see that item but postage is showing as £2.94. What am I missing? I have enabled click & collect but only for evri and royal mail and not chosen in post. Is that the reason?

It does say this - but doesn't seem to suggest that 'all' couriers need to be offered.

    Which couriers are included?

The promotion is available with InPost, Evri and Royal Mail parcel shops and pickup lockers.

That is what I thought. Let's see if it works. I have only allowed Evri & RM.

I've got all the couriers enabled for Simple delivery and I have just managed to find a piece of clothing to list - and at the bottom of the page it says

Free Click & Collect on this item

Your buyer will get free Click & Collect on this item if you list and sell it by 31 Oct.Terms Apply
