@TravellingAbuela I'm glad that your DD has now got her treatment plan. That's the same plan that I had with 5 sessions of RT and 5 years of hormone therapy too. I'm 3½ years post surgery now, with 2 more years of daily tablets to go.

FLOSS thanks for that. Of course I'm worried but your update is encouraging to read. x

Afternoon all, thanks @Gers for starting the day off.
@dp1 - A belated happy birthday, sounds as if you had a lovely day.
Yesterday we were told today's weather would be heavy rain but then it was changed to light rain and indeed it has been light showers/drizzle on and off since early doors. Very little breeze, daytime temperatures around the 18 deg mark. Thankfully, I don't need to be out anywhere and there's no washing to hang out.
It seems I'm not the only one who likes being a busy bee! Yesterday I sorted through all my stashed empty glass jars, matched them up with lids and parted with some of the less useful ones for recycling. The ones I've kept were filled with the contents of part-opened packets (rice, pasta, pulses etc) so it's easier to see how much of each there is. After that I gave the cutlery drawer a good clean - nothing to dispose of, but the crumbs etc were evicted. Heaven knows how they get there because that drawer is under a work surface that I don't use for any prep! I've continued in that vein this morning with the other drawers apart from the 'gubbins' one that we all have. 😁 Cupboards will be next on the hit list.
Meantime, DS has been commandeering the laptop for his continuing job search. Slim pickings over the Bank Holiday but there could be seasonal jobs appearing soon. Even something of a temporary nature would be a boost to morale. He did have some luck yesterday when he found a £10 note in the street but obviously bad luck for whoever lost it.
Fishcakes with oven chips, peas & sweetcorn for tea tonight, cheesecake for afters.
@TA - Glad to hear your DD has a date for the lumpectomy, hope all goes well with the tests beforehand.
@remmie - Oh dear, mopping followed by rain - isn't it always the way. 🙄
Hugs for anyone who wants one, take care all. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.6 -
DP1 belated happy birthday loved hearing about the presents but it’s the thought that counts 😂
