Morning Gers and all,
I’ve been up since 5am but had a reasonable sleep for a change.
No plans as yet for today, I will probably potter around indoors to try and catch up with vacuuming and dusting.Dinner tonight is mince from the freezer with salsa and kidney beans, plus mash, nice and easy and comforting food.
Yesterday, I managed to get out for a short walk after dinner, just 10 minutes or so, but it was the first time in months my body didn’t complain too much. My plan is to go every day and gradually increase time and distance.
Take care all.

Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's a fine, dry and calm morning here. The leaves are falling already, due to lack of water I suppose.
Glad that you had a fairly good night Peony, it makes a difference doesn't it.
Thinking of you and your DD TA, it's a very anxious time for you. Now she's diagnosed things will move quickly. Also, thoughts to your bus buddy.
YL, I'm not good at having nothing to do either! I'll tidy a drawer, or start going through cupboards. Today I'm going to make a birthday card for one of my Australian grandsons, and get it in the post as soon as possible.I
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can - thoughts to anyone who s sad or poorly.
Take care folks

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It was a dry bright start here but now slowly deteriorating! The forecast is for light showers, on and off for most of the day. A bit different to yesterday when it felt like summer was back.
DD rang me after her hospital appointment yesterday, before heading back to work. She is booked in for the lumpectomy in 2 weeks (the 16th) and eventually, if all goes well, she will then need a course of radiotherapy. Before the op though she will have to go back for various tests and some dye inserted. It's a relief that things seem to be moving at last. Meanwhile DD and eldest DGD are away in London for a couple of nights next week, the highlight being going to see Bon Jovi. She was desperately hoping that this wouldn't have to be cancelled as they have both looked forward to it for so long.
I didn't hear from Bus Buddy yesterday after her appointment but hopefully today I will.
I met DF for lunch as planned and, as usual, had a good old natter over our after lunch vinos. Her DH has so many problems which she seems to be battling on with alone with no help from the GP's. She feels her has just been written off.
Today I must put my mind to some long neglected jobs. I have got so lax and must sort myself out. I am still wading through Sunday's gammon joint so some of that will do for my dinner tonight with maybe air fryer wedges and a bit of salad, and the remainder sliced and frozen for another day.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for poorlies, sad or worried. Take care all stay safe x

Morning everyone
Thanks @Gers for the start.
TA - glad things are moving quickly for your DD and she can go to the concert.
Yesterday was the first day for ages I actually got some ‘work’done for my craft business - managed some sewing and sanding some wood - was probably to the detriment of housework though.
Today the OT is coming to demo the bath lift, and the hairdresser later. DF has a hospital appt but said he is happy to go alone as we wouldn’t want to leave DM for the 2-3 hours he’ll be away.
Enjoy your daysAA

Morning all
A bit cooler than yesterday and expecting some rain at lunchtime.
Had a knock on the door early evening. A woman had pranged my DH's car and, luckily, a neighbour had just pulled up as it happened and pointed her in the direction of our house as DH had parked on the road not on our drive. Whether she would have fessed up or not if the neighbour hadn't been there we'll never know. She offered to pay for the damage in instalments but DH suggested we go down the insurance route so she eventually agreed.
Glad your DD's manging to get to her concert around medical appointments @TravellingAbuela
A bit of housework and floor mopping before my hairdresser comes later for a colour and cut. Be glad to get my mop cut as the appointment is much later than usual because of the workmen being here and having to cancel our original appt.
Have a good day all x

Morning again - great that you managed a short walk @peony40 - baby steps. Encouraging news about your DD @TravellingAbuela, and lovely that she has such an early appointment and can still go to see Bon Jovi too.
Today is rather gloomy though may well be better than the horrible day yesterday. This morning my cleaner is coming so I'm preparing to decamp and leave him to it.
Special hugs to those involved with car incidents! Hugs to all.

Good morning
It's started raining and is forecast to stay all day. I had planned to go shopping as we are running out of things, no bread or fruit. Not going until later so it may ease off.
My use up campaign is going well, steak and kidney pie filling and pork mince gone from the freezer, although 1 portion of chilli back in. I am also trying to use up some of the tins in store, mainly purchased by DH when asked to buy 1 comes home with 4. Tonight is left over pie for himself and chilli for me.
YL, I'm not good at doing nothing, yesterday I mopped through as I had time on my hands, hence the rain today 😅
TA, glad things are moving quickly for your dd and she'll still get to see Bon Jovi. Hope you hear from your bus buddy today.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all. Rather dull here today.
Got some jobs done yesterday and then went out geocaching after lunch, which involved a bit of walking plus some scrambling up slopes.
Today I'll be at the Community Larder. I've sorted some unwanted stationery items and will leave them on the free table for others to take as needed.
Still picking plums and have left a bag on the doorstep for a friend to collect later.
Commiserations for those with poorly people and fingers crossed your DH's car gets sorted Chrisca.

Morning everyone
I'm back to being child free after having both children Sunday and Monday nights. It was my birthday yesterday and little one was so excited, she told everyone in the cafe yesterday lunchtime 'granny is 59 today.' She disappeared upstairs after tea on Sunday and emerged from her room a while later with a bag full of presents she'd wrapped up…in Christmas paper and masking tape! She was very excited for me to open them yesterday….there was a bracelet of mine, a pair of my fluffy socks, one of her teddies and the travel section of my paper! DD did bring 'real' presents later plus I had a phone call from eldest DD in Boston, and a very nice lunch out.
I took both children down to see mam and dad in the morning so they could say happy birthday to me. They went home and I went over to my friends house for a cuppa and cake. Today I've got a pile of ironing and I'll go shopping and down to the care home after lunch.
TA I'm pleased your DD has her appointments booked now.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning All
Happy belated birthday DP1 bless LO for all "her" gifts.
TA glad DD has a date for her procedure, strangely that is the same date as my DF has his next appointment with consultant. Hope DD and DGD enjoy Bon Jovi, I love his old stuff.
Peony well done on your little walk everything starts with small steps.
YL as others have said need to feel we are doing something. When I wake up ( or normally asIm trying to get to sleep) I have lists running through my head, then I don't manage as much as I would like.
Didn't have a good night eventually fell asleep around 5 this morning but need to be up as expecting an oil delivery. Should be here by tomorrow. My bank account definitely went ouch when I placed the order ( thank you Mr Tr***) but thanks to the good summer my last delivery lasted 8 months, hoping this one will do as well.
Hope everyone has a good day hugs to all who want them.
