Engineered wood floors

We have bought a cottage with engineered wood flooring in the dining room and kitchen. It is in need of some tlc.

Advice on what product to use to give it a bit of a shine and protection.

The scratches that are present, will any product just mask those or get rid of.

Thanks

Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!

I rub a small amount of the nearest wood stain in then wipe off. I avoid anything too waxy to avoid it becoming slippery, although a small amount of the Mr Sheen with wax additive hides light scratches.
