Intrusive Alexa
Just installed Echo. When not in use it frequently says "There is someone at the front door"
We don't have a Ring security setup so what is prompting these messages?

We have 2 of these and have never had this. Is there anything set up in the app? Did you buy it new.

Do you have another security setup/doorbell?

It,s an old one, gift from daughter who updated hers. No other security setup

You need to check the app. It would show you what devices are connected to it, and you can remove your daughter's front door camera, or ask her to remove it if she's still controlling the device.
You should set up the Alexa app and reconnect it

Best if daughter deregisters the Echo from her Amazon account, then factory reset it and install from scratch.

Just to explain - your daughter's Ring doorbell is still linked to the Echo you have so everytime the doorbell goes at her home it announces it on your device. This is why it needs unlinking. Your daughter will need to do this.

This shows support for how to factory reset the device. You should also install the Alexa app on your phone. It’s a bit of a faff but it’s only 10 minutes or so in total. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Call your daughter and ask her who is ringing her bell at odd hours of the day.
She'll soon remove the device from her account, LOL.2 -
It's still linked to your daughter's account. I had the same issue. It freaked me out when out of the blue my Alexa said there's someone at your front door! I don't have a ring camera 🤣An easy fix.
