Has anybody used Acoustic Wall Panels? How do you fix them?

Hi all

I have just purchased some Acoustic wall panels but don’t know how to fit them to the wall. I bought 4 tubes of the adhesive (in silicone size stones) but there’s no way there’s enough in a hundred of those tubes. I’m baffled. Surely there’s another glue or adhesive to fix these things to the wall?

Have you looked at the instructions that came with the panels if there were any?

Have you looked on the website from where you bought the panels from for advice?

Google the panel name and it may show on utube or other places.

I think you may be confused about how the adhesive is applied. It doesn’t have to go over the whole of the back. It’s probably a bead around the outside and a zig zag bead down the length of the panel.

Boohoo’s advice about YouTube is worth checking out. There’s bound to be a video on there.

We have several rooms now with these panels in. One tube of adhesive generally fixes one panel and an earlier poster is correct, you put adhesive round the outside and then zig zag down the middle. The adhesive is extremely strong and quick to grip so be careful when placing the panels. We are really pleased with how secure they are on the wall, but due to our living room wall not being perfect we did also put some screws in these panels just for peace of mind.

I didn't bother with adhesive, I just used screws, so I can easily remove them if I got bored, didn't want to damage the plaster...
