Loft Extension Minimum Height?

It is not just about the ceiling height. You can not class a loft conversion as a habitable space, unless it has a proper staircase with a door at one end- an escape window - fireproofing - strengthened floor etc. + regular biulding control inspections during building and final sign off.
Without all that, a loft room should only ever be used for storage, even with a decently high ceiling.
