Boots markup in store

hi I’ve compared men’s aftershave often and have used boots, airport “duty free” (that’s actually misleading as aftershave does not have duty anyway - only as a customs import duty pending value)
I'm pretty sure Boots don't have Airport duty free stores. Whilst they may be airside it doesn't mean every shop located airside is duty free. I think you've just assumed it was when it wasn't.

Same for my local Sainsbury's. The discounts and offers aren't available in local stores, but it's quite a drive to get to the main supermarket the other side of town. So I go to Tesco's main supermarket instead!

Well, variance between online and different classes of store is one thing. The latest thing is the variance between price in one store for loyalty card customer or "cash" customer. This is getting out of hand IMO - I usually buy a moisturiser which is generally around £5. The local supermarket was out of stock so I went to Superdrug where the price was £4.89 for "beautycard" holders, but £10 otherwise. So, no real saving for loyalty card holders but some odd attempt to rip off anyone else - needless to say I did not purchase.
