Morning All
Thanks for the early start Gers.
I woke up at 3.15 this morning, even earlier than yesterday so another weary day ahead! DW has just finished doing it's thing and the WM will be finished in a few minutes, will hang the washing out although I'm not sure it will stay dry all day.
Haircut last night so I'm all tidy again for a few weeks. Pay day today so have sorted out the finances for the month, just hope there aren't any nasty surprises!
Hoping everyone is well and worry free. Take care. XX

Morning , thanks Gers.
It's very overcast and gloomy here, rain is forecast I think.
The dog will need a walk soon, so I'll have to do that. It's not cold, just cloudy.
Hope everyone is all right and has good days. Take care folks.

sunny and bright this month after a lot of rain yesterday ,isn’t it amazing just how quickly the grass greens up and starts growing
Been mia again ,no real reason ,just a bit down as the effects of the spinal jab seem to be wearing off after only 3 weeks .
Today is housework day I have made a list and will try and stick to it
Stay safe all

Good morning
Overcast here too. Wow, did it rain yesterday, mustn't complain as we badly need it. Last night we were treated to the most spectacular light show with the storm, the lightning went on for ages.
No plans for today but I'm sure I'll find something to do. Burgers for tea tonight.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning again - yesterday was such a glorious day, wall to wall blue skies all day and so blooming hot. Now we are back to watery skies, the threat of showers and about 10 degrees cooler. Despite that I've got a small washing load out on the line. Been into town to post an important letter in the hope that it gets delivered tomorrow.
Thursday was interesting (ha). I decided to go to an event held at the surgery for 'seniors' with all sorts of agencies and health departments giving out advice and support. Well…I've never felt more out of my comfort zone than when at that. I know that I will morph into a less younger person and have been blessed with relatively good health so am grateful for the reminder. All the people staffing the various 'stalls' were lovely, encouraging and helpful. I came away with free samples of toothpaste and a wee handbag mirror for my handbag. I filled in a form for the surgery so they could prove effectiveness and caught up with an acquaintance I haven't seen for a while. I also had a chat with community leisure about volunteering to support older people with digital skills, something I did a number of years ago. It's a definite maybe.
Came home to find my 'flu jag appointment which brought me back to reality. 😂 Then the chap who toots his car in the morning dropped in to show me how to use the tyre inflator which I bought the other week. After having had to find an open garage to check and inflate a soft tyre I decided that it was about time I did it myself. Have to admit I was scared of doing it, however the lovely Rob showed me just how easy it was. Connect, turn on, set pressure and watch as it works. Almost embarrassed about my lack of confidence.
This morning the woman gardener is coming, she does the mega weeding /clearing of dead stuff but not the grass. She's really good, sets down and works methodically. Lunch is prepped and I now have my first coffee of the day waiting for me.
Hugs to all, especially @Suffolksue. xx

Feel better after my haircut and natter yesterday she can talk for England and she’s funny it’s taken all year but I can see where she’s going with my hair I’ve always had it really cropped short it is now down just past my shoulders but I’ve lost count of the people who have said to me oooh love your hair you really suit it dark it’s always been dark it’s never been any other colour a said hello to a friend of my husband the other day and he just smiled then he said sorry I didn’t recognise you with dark hair very odd . Well it’s my volunteering day so hopefully the rain will stay away until we get the van unloaded then it can please itself this afternoon when I’m in the charity shop . Morning folks and thanks for the start GERS. Another one here who had a rubbish sleepless night. Nowt new there. I am a lifelong member of the insomniac's club.
The thunderstorms still didn't happen yesterday but we did have a few hours of heavy rain. They are forecast yet again for today so we'll see if it happens.
DD had a phone call from our hospital yesterday bringing her appointment forward a week. So she goes this Tuesday. It's just the initial appointment, not for the actual op, but even so I shelved my half hearted plan of going to the caravan next week. I'd rather be here than there just in case.
It's Friday Tidy day but I feel I cba after my sleepless night. I'll do the end of month banking instead and then see if I can summon up a bit of enthusiasm to do it. Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all x

SSue sending hugs hope you have a better day.
Gers glad you found your ",seniors" event useful and extra bonus of toothpaste and mirror.
TA sorry to hear about DD but glad her appointment has been bought forward. Understand you wanting to stay close by.
Well DH mob went home yesterday in the stormy rain. Luckily weather was good on Wednesday for day out. I forget how tiring how cooking even a bbq is for extra people especially when they announce half of them don't eat what we had bought, hey ho.
Our DF who I went to hospital with before our holiday has had a diagnosis unfortunately not good so having some scans to check if primary or secondary. I will go down again next month for meeting to discuss options.
We are looking after my DF little dog for the weekend she will be here soon. Always brings a smile and such a lovely little thing.
Sunny here this morning after stormy day yesterday. Hope everyone has a good day, hugs to all who want them.

Morning everyone
We have drizzly rain this morning, it looks like it's set in for the day. I won't be finishing painting my summer house today …I ran out of paint when I still had one side to give another coat. It's just clear weatherproofing, but has brightened the light wood. I've been out for a couple of things, including collecting a parcel which is wellies for little one going back to school. Gers, she doesn't get her casts on for another week, 8th September so will have a couple of days back at school first…she's not looking forward to it at all, bless her.
We had an excellent day out on Wednesday to the Life Centre at Newcastle, she was unsure about going into the room with about 20 dinosaurs in at first but was brave and loved it, we must have spent an hour at least in that room alone. They were very realistic and moved and roared, apparently a company in Mexico made them. After over 5 hours I'd had enough, it was hot and busy, so we went and had an ice cream before catching the train home.
Tomorrow we're at the book festival in Edinburgh, which means getting the train just after 8 to get there in time for Julia Donaldson at 10am. We're going to 2 other events too, one an author /illustrator and then a poetry workshop. We'll go somewhere for tea before we come home, I'm really looking forward to it and so is little one….our last treat of the holidays.
My visits to mam and dad have been difficult this week, mam is getting worse so quickly and has shouted at me a lot, she upsets dad by telling him she's going to take him to live somewhere else, then he shouts too! She gets very angry at the manager too, though not with the carers.
Right I'd best get started on my ironing pile, I had to dry it next to the humidifier last night….I think I'm going to need the light on! Camelot I'm pleased you're sorted at work now.
Hope everyone has a good day x
