Successful appeal - APCOA PCN at Luton Airport

Hello
I recently received a Parking Charge Notice from APCOA after a car registered to me stopping briefly in the entrance to the medium stay car park at Luton airport.

I wanted to share that on appeal my charge was cancelled in case anyone else gets one of these at Luton.

The PCN detailed an alleged contravention of "Dropping or picking up outside designated areas". The notice contains photos showing the vehicle stopped and passengers getting out. When submitting my appeal, the website also included video showing the above. The vehicle is stopped for around 1 minute.

I emailed the airport operator a couple of times, they informed me that they had contacted APCOA to investigate. My email included some of the text from the initial appeal suggested here in the MSE guide.

After a week or so from receiving the notice, I submitted the appeal on the APCOA website. Again I used the wording for the initial appeal here in the MSE guide.

After only a week or so I received a confirmation that the PCN had been cancelled.

Thanks so much for the work done here on this topic. In the case of Luton, the approach to parking has changed (it used to be free to park at the medium stay, also there was a barrier at the short stay) and the business model is clearly to make money from people who fall foul of the regime. This is totally immoral. Shame on APCOA, and on Luton Airport.
