I had this through the post today. We booked an overnight stay at the Ibis Budget and parking for the week. I struggled to find the entrance to the Ibis, as I needed to drop my wife and suitcases there before taking my car to the Tribe Hotel to hand over the keys. It says I parked for one minute and twenty-four seconds in a restricted area of the car park. I wasn't even in the car park; this shot was taken on the road outside the hotel area, and I wasn't obstructing any traffic from behind, but I did have to wait a while at the give-way markings for others with the right of way to pass. Thanks in advance for any advice, good or bad

Ha, that's not parked; as you say, the car is stopped at a junction 'give way' point!

This is a complete joke, as usual from Euro Parking Services who inappropriately use CCTV like this a lot.

And you've been filmed covertly with no signs, no GDPR privacy notice at the entrance to that area, warning you of camera surveillance, and also no fair consideration period was allowed. Ticketed in one minute flat, and filmed without your knowledge.

This is exactly why the ICO needs to get involved in the statutory Code of Practice finalisation.

This is covert surveillance and it's illegal.

These PCNs must be banned by the MHCLG and the rules about CCTV and ANPR used by this rogue sector need to be tightened. The sector should be banned from camera surveillance like this, just as local authorities are banned by the Deregulation Act 2015 from issuing most parking PCNs by post.

If this hotel (in fact, this junction) is within an Airport site, if you are the keeper named on this PCN then they can't hold you liable.

Is this roadway within Manchester Airport? Can you find the Airport byelaws map online, to prove it?
