Boots Advantage Card
Asking other MSErs that use Boots - do your Advantage Card points allocations make sense? Its supposed to be a straightforward calculation but I am tired of calling Boots to revise this. To be fair, they do adjust when they realise the error but recently I had an interaction that was the equivalent of "the Advantage card calculation is always right" - the equivalent of computer says no, computer can never be wrong. To which a 2-word response popped into my head: POST OFFICE. We're not looking at anywhere near the same scale of "wrongness" or consequence, but iyt does rather sour the incentive.
I'm not going to stop shopping at Boots, but the Advantage Card points were something I would mentally add into my calculation when purchasing and bizzarely give me a sense of satisfaction. I'm now more likely to look at other retailers that offer better incentives and don't argue the toss.
So much to read, so little time.

Do you have a problem with the '3 points per £' spend points or is it once you try to use the various "personalised" offers for various point bonuses (which may or may not be stackable) that the issues start?
My account is even more complicated by having a Contact Lens supply with them that triggers discounts/bonuses and I think there's also whatever they call their 'older person' add-on.
Don't really reconcile the account against spend (too hard), just try to keep the earnings to under a tenner before spending so it doesn't matter overmuch.

@flaneurs_lobster - its the code stacking. You may remember as recently as ?10 years ago it was possible to code stack like crazy and the Grabbit board would go nuts at 6am https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/quick-grabbit-while-you-can, this heyday is over!
No man is worth crawling on this earth.
