just making sure I have it correct before pressing send
Hi, brief outline…… I had a BIG surprise birthday and my family travelled to be with me. We all met up in the Beefeater on the Sunday for breakfast. I think there were 5 cars. Every one of us has had a ticket from Horizon. Unfortunately most have paid it. Apparently we should have registered when we went in but not one of us saw the pad to do it and nobody informed us even though there was a large table full of us. I paid cash and didn't get a receipt. Contacted Beefeater who were unhelpful and said I had to sort it myself.
Ive read through and from what I can understand, I go online to appeal and use the template below. Tick the box to say I am the keeper and not the driver and put my full name and address below the template. Can someone just confirm this before I press send and pass it on to one of the other victims!!! Thank you in advance
Re PCN number:
I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle.
If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.
If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner.

Well if no one saw the pad or any signage then it cannot have been very prominent I would write to Whitbread head office, not Beefeater customer service who are clueless, and ask them if they are closing so many of their accounts due to a down turn, can they really afford to upset a customer that attended one of their sites with five car loads of people!
Can you get photos of the lack of signage at the site for evidence?
I cannot understand why people that have been paying customers also pay a scam charge to a lowlife parking company that have constructed this very convoluted process to catch you out for one aim; greed and profit.
Don't fall for these scammers tactics, help is on here.😉

When you write to Whitbread ask them to set out their complaints process and also put it on the Beefeater website

Are you aware that all Beefeater restaurants in the UK are closing permanently in two weeks time?

I have emailed Whitbread and am waiting for a reply from them. If I don't get anywhere with them is the above template enough or do I add more to it?

I would add that a written complaint has been made to the landowner, Whitbread , and that a complaint will also be made to the CMA after their recent open letter to all private parking companies

Whitbread have said to appeal to the parking company direct, I didn't expect anything less to be honest. Have added your suggestion Gr1pr, thank you

POFA or non-POFA PCN? Don't ask us to look, just compare yours to the Horizon NTK versions in my NTK pictures thread (compare the first para on the back) and tell us which one you have.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
