DCBL letter of claim

Hi I'm looking for advice. I recently received a letter of claim after receiving a letter of notice, for 3 parking tickets roughly in the same location from 3 years ago asking for £485. I no longer have the accused vehicle. I never received a PNC for any of the parking fines and when I asked for proof that they did, they sent some documents on email that they were sent to an old address (At this time I was still in the military and with the job I had I was moving a lot more than usual) they also sent photos of the car going in and out. Now I have received this letter of claim with loads of up charges. To something I had no knowledge of. If any can help/advise on how to respond to this letter of claim. That would be amazing. Just had a newborn can't exactly part with £485!

    Is it DCB Ltd or DCB Legal? First thing you must do is make sure your V5C now has an up-to-date address; secondly, advise the DPO of the parking company of your address for service, require them to ERASE your old data and inform all and any of their agents and sub-contractors of same. You don't want a N1SDT claim form going to an old address. Then read the NEWBIE sticky where you will find second post) advice on how to respond to a letter of claim.

    Hi there it is DCB legal. I no longer have the vehicle but it was up to date before selling as at that time I had a permanent residence. Also which newbie sticky thread is it. As I have searched it and there is loads to choose from. Is it possible to send a link to the part on how to respond to the letter of claim. Many thanks

    And by now you've presumably read the NEWBIES thread, realised that these aren't fines and have noticed that Horizon didn't use the POFA until 2025, so cannot hold a registered keeper liable?
