You are right, they don’t specifically say that flights are nonrefundable, not flexible, so it’s not obvious.
They do however highlight flexible hotel changes so that omission in itself tends to imply that other changes may not be flexible.

    This is in their FAQ

https://www.loveholidays.com/faq/change-dates-times-of-flights/? The learning curve for this is probably to always doublecheck it terms and conditions before you’ve hit the pay button

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have not could of.

This unfortunate problem has come up here previously in varying differing scenarios.

It highlights one of the pitfalls of a group booking made by members separately - it only needs one error, such as described to cause an issue impacting on all.

Sadly I can't suggest a way around it - except, perhaps for the individual in question to desert the reservation, do a no show and make another booking with a different carrier ?

Good luck nevertheless to finding a successful outcome.

The answer on the FAQ would imply you can change the flight. We and I say "we" loosely as I haven't had a response to my request in over 120 hours, though my friend with the same booking has been told we can't change the flight as Air France doesn't allow it.

Well I think a learning curve is not to use Love Holidays too. Like I said in previous posts, mistakes happen and as someone who normally double checks everything, it's been a complete oversight. I've never had to change a holiday before, but anything I've had to deal with, say with Jet 2, has been much easier.

We tried to do one booking for a party of 8, but then it wouldn't let us change room types so we decided to book in couples. It would have been worse if we'd booked together then we'd have all lost money. 2 of the party booked direct with another airline (and got their money back immediately) and 2 hadn't yet booked then they realised the term date error (in the middle of the night!).

We may laugh about it all one day, but at the minute it's just exceptionally frustrating that a company who we contacted within 24 hours hasn't responded at all (oh apart from to send me a review request - I'll have plenty to say there!)
