Switching gas tariff to get a fixed price

As far as I can tell, the Fuse tariff that I signed up to (gas only) is a special offer on the Moneysupermarket site, so it seems like the low standing charge was part of the special offer rather than it being a proper low SC tariff. There was also another Fuse tariff in the list that was not a special offer that had a higher rate, a much higher SC, and a shorter fix period and a higher exit charge, so I guess it was more of a special offer thing.

I've fixed direct with Fuse this morning, in Southern Scotland and the SC for gas is 16.78p whereas the SV SC charge for this region is currently 29.24p rising to 29.89p on 1st October, so a great saving on the SC.
Electric SC on my new tariff is also well below the SV rate, 47.98p compared to 64.17p/61.41p.0 -

Yeah maybe I didn't fully optimise the situation - however the main thing is that my price is capped at 0.0747 for the winter and that's good enough for now.

Interesting - so even if the comparison site says that it's an exclusive deal, it should still be offered to me directly on the energy provider site?
