Acknowledgement of service - one day late
Hi the claim form issue date is 4th August. I've just sent the aos confirmation. I think that makes me one day late. As yesterday was a Sunday do I still have chance if taking it to the next stage?

Should be ok, but do get on with your defence

Is there an email address for the civil national business centre? I want to explain why I missed the deadline. Can only find address on the pack I've been sent

The current Email addresses are all in the defence template thread, 1st post, so i am surprised at your question
But
They could take days or weeks to even read it, so if your MCOL claim history shows you that the AOS stage has been logged, I suggest that your time would be better spent on your defence, you could submit it tonight if its ready to go, which makes the late AOS submission irrelevant

Why don't they put it on the form?

Because the system is archaic and needs overhauling.

If you successfully acknowledged service before the Claimant pressed the "default judgment" button, you are safe, just get the Defence filed in time.

You are safe. AOS is in and lateness is irrelevant.

With an issue date of 04/08/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS before or on 23/08/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 07/09/26
Check your status on MCOL but, as @Coupon-mad writes, you are likely safe, especially if your status page confirms you have completed the AoS.

Complete the aos on 24,/08 at 1800
