Debit Card Dispute
Hi
I have had 6 payments taken from my bank account to payment ref: LC International, LC International payment ref is the ref used by Corals & Ladbrokes. I had read that some customers had payments taken from their accounts from Ladbrokes and Corals, so what I done I got all my Corals & Ladbrokes to send me all my transactions, so they sent password protected databases showing me all my transactions from January 1st 2026 to July 31st 2026 and there are 6 payments that have been taken from my bank account that don’t appear in either of the 2 databases, I have all the proof that verifies these payments have been taken but do not appear in their databases should Lloyds bank immediately refund the payments back?
thank you in advance for any comments that help.

LC international has lots of brands, not just Ladbrokes and Corals.
Gala Bingo, Foxy Bingo, Party Poker, BWin, Vistabet etc etc.
Could it have been one of those, or any of their other brands?

If you dispute the transactions as being unauthorised, the onus is on Lloyds to prove that you authorised them rather than you having to demonstrate that you didn't, so if these show on your statements as debit card payments, they should show evidence that you provided the relevant authorisation. What have they said so far?

TBH here, this is going to have to be treated as fraud. Given you have a account with LC. But as per @Woodstok2000 make sure you have no other gambling accounts with other co's that maybe linked to LC. If you do not then there is a risk that they come back with your details & then you could find LC close all your accounts for falsely claiming fraud.

Surely there's no need to allege fraud as such? By simply disputing the transactions as unauthorised (assuming OP is confident that they didn't authorise them and is acting in good faith) then the onus falls on the bank, and potentially the merchant(s), to demonstrate otherwise, but without the need to escalate into an actual fraud allegation, given that that would be asserting that a criminal offence had been committed, rather than it being a purely civil matter.

As bank knows they have a account with co, then it is well within PSD to ask them to take it up with retailer & not refund. Even with the info the OP has.
Fraud would be on the basis that OP is saying it is not theirs, thus has been made by unknown 3rd party.
As such there is no "Unrecognised" chargeback.

My understanding is that OP accepts that they have authorised some payments to this company but that the dispute is on the basis of others not having been authorised - the underlying reason for this might be fraud but not necessarily so, e.g. it could be some sort of inadvertent admin error or the like, so it shouldn't be necessary to have to label it as fraud just in order to investigate the circumstances?
Obviously if the bank can show that the transactions were authorised then that would put a different complexion on the issue…

Could it be that someone 'close' to the OP has 'borrowed' the card to do some gambling?

I have checked all other associated with Entain Group and it’s none of them plus it was a new debit card.

An account or multiple accounts with the same 'co' (bookmaker)? The OP made it clear that
6 payments that have been taken from … bank account …don’t appear in either of the 2 databases…
How further is the OP supposed to take it up with the retailer (the bookmakers)?
ETA: have I misunderstood your post? By 'to ask them' do you mean to ask the bank (not the OP)?

Show them the evidence and ask them the question.
They'll have logged IP addresses, date and time and probably able to fingerprint it to the actual device/s.
If it's been an admin error rather than fraud, wouldn't the deposited funds be sitting in the account unspent?
