Charged up my phone to 80% unplugged it and when I next looked at it most of the apps had turned grey and screen had dimmed.

If I attempt to open an app I get a message saying, 'App paused by extreme battery saver'. The battery icon is showing 78% but has turned orange.

If I plug the charger back into the phone it all goes back to normal.

Re-booting the phone does nothing.

Can any one help, what is going on. Please keep it as simple as possible.

I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.
