I have just seen a transcript from the BBC between Paul Thwaite Nat west and Emily Maitlis. Which resulted in Paul Thwaite storming out. Can someone shead some light on this Nordheim GPT.

Sounds like a scam. Where did you find this? On Facebook?

Think you have fallen foul for an AI crypto thing on social media, sounds a variation on a theme.

As others have said this is a typical AI scam, covered here.

it really is important that as AI becomes so widely available and often used by scammers that we all make ourselves aware of what to look for. Simple things like, was this on social media , is there an element of a celebrity strong endorsing something you’ve never heard of , are you being urged to buy or do something? The only way to stop these scammers is to recognise them and report them.

EDIT! Apologies if my link doesn’t work, but a simple google search of ‘Paul Thwaite Nat west and Emily Maitlis’ should work.

There was one for weeks on Twitter which involved Nigel Farage on the set of Question Time in various ridiculous scenarios.

I’m not quoting the post above as I get the cut and paste at the bottom of this post when I cut and paste it for a check, I’ve reported to the forum team. @Desmond2000 assuming this is you and not a scammer that has hacked you then if you’ve done anything with that link then get help to do a thorough clean on your PC. The VPN thing you referred to in the OP is a SCAM, it wasn’t on the BBC.

The URL is a malicious clickbait tracker used by advertising networks to lure users into financial scams, often utilizing sensationalized, localized, and fake headlines. Interaction with this link likely leads to phishing sites or fraudulent investment schemes.

It's clearly a scam. Don't fall for obvious nonsense like this.

Its an advertising link by Taboola that you can see from the URL that the OP saw on the GBNews.com website. With or without the junk at the end the website simply goes to a 118118 Money blog page

Taboola do a lot of the "recommended for you" type adverts under lower grade news websites

I've never heard of Taboola , I learn something new every day here on MSE!

Theyre not a particularly interesting company, they have a few compettitors like Outbrain/Teads or then the obvious more generic options like Google Adwords etc… these are more content driven than the generic adverts so in theory get better click through rates.

There are tonns of advertising companies out there though, most dont have the budgets to go up against Google so instead they go more niche like ads for news websites or for inside games (watch an ad to get an extra life type stuff)

Good money to be made though, Taboola was $1,9bn revenue with $221.5m EBITDA

How can they do this without GB News knowing about it?
