Has anyone obtained their shareholder perks from their Freetrade ISA?
Has anyone had any luck getting any shareholder perks from shares held in their Freetrade ISA (this sort of thing https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shareholder-perks)?
I was rather looking forward to my annual Next plc discount voucher.
Freetrade first advised that (unlike any ISA manager I’ve used before) they don’t do this. Then Freetrade subsequently advises that they do support this after all.
Then, when I actually tried to get the voucher, I was told that that they’ve now stopped this service as they are now getting too many requests. They told me to try the Next plc Company Secretary…la de da.

When shares are held in a nominee account, the investment platform is technically the shareholder. This means the share-issuing company may not know that you are the beneficial owner and therefore qualify for any shareholder perks.
Some companies do not allow nominee holdings to qualify for shareholder perks.
So Freetrade is correct in referring you to Next as it is their decision. However, quick check online says that Next do allow nominee holdings.
