Cashing in Netapp shares held by Morgan Stanley in USA
HI, does anyone have any ideas how to cash in 24 + year old Netapp shares which are held by MOrgan Stanley in the USA?
I get monthly Client statements showing the details, but everything I google says to create an online account with Morgan stanley, but to do this I need a USA Social security number or a US passport! My UK NR number doesnt work. Does anyone know how to do it, or someone who can help? The amount is not a lot, but better in my pocket then theirs. Thank you

You could try transferring them in specie to a UK broker. Interactive Brokers would be an obvious choice but Scottish Widows Share Dealing (formerly iWeb, a brand name of Halifax Share Dealing) appears to be able to transfer from US brokers. Is it actually Morgan Stanley or is it etrade, owned by Morgan Stanley? Etrade and Morgan Stanley Global Stock Plan Services with US addresses come up as options when searching in its app for brokers to transfer from. iWeb also appears to offer Netapp.
Do you have any UK brokerage accounts? You could check to see if they can do it.
