P4Parking (UK) /TNC - Parked in visitor bay - Unclear Signage
Hi there. First-time poster and have read the Newbies thread in detail. Hopefully, I've provided all the information needed, but apologies if not!
Context
- The driver parked on a housing estate in a visitor bay (marked by the letter V), which they've parked in multiple times before with no issues.
- They parked at night, and read the sign which said "Visitors must park in the designed bays where applicable". The driver wears glasses, and even this was difficult to read in the dark.
- They received the attached NTK within the post within the correct timeframe. It says a PC was attached to the windscreen, but one never was, or at least the driver didn't see one when they went back to their car.
- The driver went back to the place they parked and took a photo of the sign in day light. It's about 15 foot off the ground, there are no lights above, nor around it, and under where it says "Visitors must park in the designed bays where applicable", there is font in half the size saying a visitor permit must be obtained. This could only be read by the driver after they took a photo and zoomed in.
- The driver wishes to appeal the NTK under the grounds of unclear signage, but there's no information on the NTK on how to actually appeal. They have gone onto P4Parking (UK) but it says "unable to appeal at this time". There is no appeals process or information on the letter, nor any way to do it on TNC's website.
- The '28 days to appeal' is up on Sat 22nd Aug, so the driver is trying to get it sorted soon.

Questions
- As per the newbies thread, I'll be doing plan B and using the appeal template, but I cannot for the life of me work out how/where to appeal - is it clear to anyone else or am I being stupid?
Thanks so much in advance for any advice/help!

Ignore TNC in full.

I dunno, I wouldn't let that series of issues lie!
That NTK is totally unacceptable because it fails to say how/where to appeal. The back is all about how to pay. That's all.
Bung an appeal in as a complaint to TNC instead, pointing out that:
- the NTK fails to state how/where to appeal and that the blue sign is unreadable, nine feet up on a wall and unlit. It was dark when the driver parked as a visitor;
- it says a PC was attached to the windscreen, but one never was, according to the driver;
- ask TNC to attach a copy of the windscreen PCN to their reply.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for your reply. Newbies thread says to do plan B (appeal) - can you explain why I would ignore the NTK from NTC? Just so I can understand a bit better.
Glad I wasn't going crazy. Just seems bizarre that they missed off where to appeal as it's such a important/basic piece of information. I've found TNC's complaints page and will get one sent off in the AM. Thanks!

This is because It is a complete waste of time communicating with TNC/CIS

Yes but the OP can then send their evidence to the CMA, which is worth it!
