BW Legal Car park charge just submitted N180
Hello fabulous people on this site-I wish I had found you sooner…..I have received a small claim -court is CNBC and the claim is for two separate parking charges- Case 1) I have a receipt for parking on the paybyphone App so I am baffled and the second charge again I have a receipt but I stupidly clicked on the stored car reg for my partners car not my car which is the car I was parking. I have submitted a SAR to both BW Legal and Britannia and asked BW Legal back in June for all evidence and letters info etc held on my case via their portal. I checked the portal today and discovered BW legal have not read any of the email I have sent to them -I have taken a screen shot of the portal record showing they have received and not opened my emails. I would welcome any advice you can offer and or some helpful wording for my defence if the case does go to a hearing. I have agreed to mediation but will stand firm on the fact that I have paid for parking -the max amount I will agree to pay is £20 for the second charge where I used the wrong car reg. Can you please advise on how to proceed when payment has been made-why would Britannia claim for non parking when I have paid??? Perhaps I sat in the car , made a call then paid for parking 15 mins after entering the car park? I then paid for parking for 24 hours but left the car park within 12 hours. The second charge where the care reg was incorrect - This is the 2nd time (i know so foolish) I did this in the same car park -I appealed that one and was asked to pay £20 which I did. The only reason I have not appealed on this occasion is because the postman posted the letters in a redundant post box-our house used to be the local post office and a new temp postie used a locked obsolete post box and we only discovered the letters when doing some external works. Any ways long story short I am feeling very stressed about this and would be very grateful for some advice many thanks

No need to be stressed, its not a criminal case, just a dispute over an unpaid Invoice from a private parking company, Britannia
Do not discuss the case at the mandatory mediation stage, just a monetary settlement, or offer £people and that you will see them in court
JJust follow the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum, stick to the standard process, stop overthinking it

@OnBalance232 please come back & post again, when you get your hearing date.
"I have agreed to mediation but will stand firm on the fact that I have paid for parking -the max amount I will agree to pay is £20 for the second charge where I used the wrong car reg."Stand firm. Do NOT start at £20. Start at a fiver.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
