I am in a bit of a panic, as I sent the N180 as a link, not as a PDF. The status does not list my DQ as submitted.
Im now emailing the court with the attachment (deadline was 31st July) rather than a link. Have I just lost because of this?

You should be OK
You needed to download the N180 pdf document and fill it in, save as a pdf and email it to the DQ email address at the CNBC in Northampton, as an attachment, then check your inbox and spam folders for their auto response email, as proof of delivery
No paperwork, no scans, no pictures, just the completed pdf document as an attachment, so ensure that you do it correctly, today
