Acknowledgement of Service not filed correctly

Hi -
I thought I filed my AoS a couple of weeks ago (first week of August '26 I think) - but when I was preparing my defence I saw that there was no AoS on file and a default judgement was made on 11th August. Clearly I pressed the wrong button or the page timed out and I didn't check that it had been accepted.

This was, I thought, a very winnable case that I was fine with fighting (I parked for the allotted 'free' time in a space that gives up to an hour's free parking if you register…but I registered the wrong car on JustPark. I think that there is a thread here of ADHD!)

I'm just wondering whether there is any option here, or whether I should just accept that I've messed up and pay the penalty to get the CCJ wiped before things get more expensive and my credit gets any worse. Is it worth me calling/emailing the CCBC? My suspicion is that there is nothing to show that I even tried to do the AoS, although the case is there in my MCOL list.
