Ebay protection for buyer?

The vendor said it was sent as a second class large letter. The tracking number was supplied as a link to inpost.

So… the tracking number never returned anything more than an error message.
My case in Ebay appeared to show tracking information up to a depot near my home.
Ebay extended the timeframe "to allow the vendor to provide tracking information" but finally, after about a month, they closed the case and gave me a refund.
I left negative feedback for the seller (I think he lied about tracking) but my feedback was removed.1
