Eurocarparts price promise

Hello,

Unfortunately I made a quick purchase (today via click and collect, paid in store) without checking around for the best price.

I later noticed it much cheaper elsewhere.

Does anyone have any experience of using Eurocarparts price promise after making the purchase as its quite a big difference in price so I'm hoping they would match it rather than the pain of going back to return it and purchasing elsewhere.

Do Europarts have any kind of price promise? Cant see anything to say they do on their site.

If you paid in store then its click and reserve not click and collect in which case it counts as an in person purchase and so you have no statutory right of return. Have you checked what their instore returns policy is? If its no return for change of mind you have no way to get the lower price and given they have no price promise they are likely to just tell you to go away (maybe more politely)

@iwant2asave there is a webform link towards the bottom of the page, you have nothing to lose by entering your claim that you've found the same product cheaper elsewhere. Note: they seem to exclude Amazon as a 'marketplace' seller, so you can't use that comparison.

I'd expect Euro to say (with some justification) that you're not comparing like with like.

Their price is for a battery handed over the counter ready for you to fit today. The others are for batteries delivered in a few days time.

Its legally an instore purchase, so the second part of the terms apply that the Cheaper Product must be from a retailer within 30 miles of the store

So you will probably have to do a change of mind return (they do accept that) and then reorder at the cheaper price.

The 012 type battery is 15mm taller in size than the very popular 063 type which can often be found cheap .

If the cars older you might be able to fit different sized and similar Ah and CCA rated batterys that are on sale .

A very good deal came up recently for a 027 type which is 35mm longer at 242mm for around £28.50 delivered

Depends how much time you have to look into it …..most wont …but if you do you will pay less .

The only good thing about ECP is you can return the battery under warranty for testing and get another if its no good .
