    I had a pre-inheritance of about £200k when I was in my 20s - blew the lot on things that I won't go into detail about here but safe to say it was very dumb.

    It was initially a very hard lesson, although fortunately I married someone far better with money than me, and had a decent career, but it was a lesson that means I am quite obsessively MSE these days, even where I don't really need to be.


    Better that than the alternative.
