EON Next Gas renewal options

Hi All,

Just wanted to get people’s thoughts on what options they would go with, our Gas Fixed Term is up for renewal at the end of the month and I’ve been looking at our options.

I’m planning to stay with EON, currently their 24 month fixed rate is the cheapest option, previously I’d fixed for 12 months however this in the short term seems far more expensive. I know the option of fixing for 24 months is a risk given the unknown of prices next year, but wanted to ask what others would do in my situation.

I’ve seen other bits on these forums about a ‘Next Fixed 24m Exclusive v3’ tariff however I don’t know how you become applicable for this?

12 month fix could change to another Eon Next tariff with no exit fees if prices subsequently decrease, 24 month fix states exit fees for change of tariff.

Would you say to fix for 12 months and then assess from there? Still awaiting awaiting a response from EON about their 24m exclusive details and if it’s applicable for me.

Suppose it’s 50/50 as to what works out better value now, from the projections I’ve seen energy prices are predicted to be similar this year to next but after that it’s too far to predict.

EON are not usually able to help with Exclusive tariff versions offered elsewhere.

Dual-fuel or elec-only - might be worth seeing if works for gas only. if you prefer 24 M fix.
