Cahoot Sunny Day saver maturity - I don`t worry too much about exact date it was opened. They will send you a message at least one month before maturity. You can diarise end date and upgrade then, but I usually upgrade it soon after receiving the message (after checking the 5% rate is still current) and start a new one with 12 months more to run. You can use the payout of balance and interest to fund your new one.

Registered for this account yesterday evening, I got a confimation email about 5 minutes later, but without either my online banking details or any information as to how they'd confirm those, I'd expect to something along the lines of 'we'll post/email you login within X days'.
Weirdly, where online banking is mentioned in the email, it infers it's already set up. I don't have any other Cahoot or Santander products.
Is this normal for Cahoot, I don't particularly want to have to mess around phoning them if I can avoid it?

If this is your first cahoot account you should get a couple of letters through the post with your online log on details.
Personally I'd wait for that before paying any money into the account.
