Octopus bill incorrect AGAIN
This is the fourth time this year octopus have "forgotten" to credit my bill with solar export. Every time, lots of apologies but they continue to repeat the mistake.
I've worked in IT on utility billing systems for many years. This should not continue to happen, and if it's happening to me, it's happening to others.
If you have solar and export excess energy always check your bills!!

Is your smart meter sending your export figures reliably?

Yes. I can see the exact figure I'm owed on the Octopus app

It's likely a hiccup with their system from your account moving over to Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement - Google what that is if you wish.
I had the exact same issue with mine, something to do with the export showing as de-energised on their system so the export reads wouldn't be credited automatically.
I had 2 different agents credit my export readings before the 3rd actually fixed the root cause - Get in contact with them and get a complaint raised and you'll get it sorted.1 -
I had the opposite problem when my solar went live. They were crediting the export but for some reason it borked the imports, which had been working flawlessly for years. I think that took two pokes with a stick to resolve.

I'm another who had the same problem in March through June this year. July seems to go through automatically and I won't know about August for a couple more weeks.

That was my understanding, too.

A hiccup or two with EDF as well.
I had been providing manual reads until a system was generated in February - not in May when EDF asked for a read. Waiting now for August
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
