Rescinded parking ticket being resurrected

In 2023 I received a parking ticket from Parkingeye despite parking legitimately on a hotel car park. After months of rangling I went to court only for the other side not to turn up. The following day I received a letter from them saying the parking ticket had been cancelled.

Over 3 years later I have received a letter from dcblegal starting a claim for Pre-Action Protocol for debt claims. I am clearly not going to take up their bait, but would like to know how I can persue them for harrassment; it caused me enough grief the first time round!!

When you say "starting a claim" what have you received? A letter before/of claim or a N1SDT claim form. Are you absolutely sure it is for the same issue? You can do what they have done and pursue them in the small claims court by issuing a letter before claim initially and follow it up with a claim form. However "harassment" is a high bar to reach and one letter three years after the main issue is hardly harassment! This would cost you a claim fee and a hearing fee. Might be better to let them take it to court and that way they pay the fee, you can then hit them with your evidence and then claim costs/damages!

Are you certain this is about the same PCN? How do you know, do you still have the first Claim Form and was it from ParkingEye litigating in-house?

Show us the letter confirming it was discontinued.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Parkingeye usually only pass their "no hope" cases on to DCBL/Legal, especially locations where the contract with the landowner forbids them from taking court action.

Since many people will pay DCBL, it's another way of extracting money.

My guess is that this charge notice was left dormant and passed to DCBL as part of a bulk list.

Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

If they are still using the can't pay we'll take it away slogan then that will also help to scare people into paying
