I worked for two years and two days in the education department. I have payslips that state payments went into a pensions scheme and I have no recollection nor payslip to show anything was repaid.

I have contacted LGPS and they say the pension was transferred to Novus, …….so I am now contacting them.

    Thank you all

To those who are given much, much is expected

        £2026 in 2026. Total thus far. £7.30

Catering or cleaning contractor, with LGPS admitted body status?

OP - your dates of service are critical here - if you left before, say, mid 1990s, having taken a refund of your contributions (because your service with the LGPS admitted body was less than 2 years) then your records won't have been transferred from paper file to computer data base.

Please can you give your job description title and dates of service to enable us to help you further.

        Crossed with OP's post above.

Novus offers membership of the LGPS or (depending on role) the Teachers Pension Scheme. You were in the education department, so possibly your pension might be with TPS - have you checked? If not might be worth it: https://www.teacherspensions.co.uk

Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

Depends on your definition of 'very shortly'! We've got at least another year to go - it's still at the testing phase.

The intention is that it's pretty comprehensive, but not exhaustive - it will only include schemes 'in scope'. The LGPS and TPS are certainly in scope, so will be included.

Whether it's any help to OP will depend on several factors - the accuracy of employer/scheme record keeping from their period of scheme membership being top of the list. If the records weren't kept accurately, the information (or lack of it) supplied to the dashboard won't be right. If they had a refund of contributions then that won't show up, since the dashboard will only show pensions to which someone is actively contributing and deferred pensions. Pensions in payment aren't going to be included.
