OAK LEGAL SERVICES LETTER BEFORE CLAIM

Hello im in need of some advice as to what to do.

Ive received a letter from "Oak Legal Services" on behalf of LDK Group Limited, regarding 2 Parking Eye Limited car parking fines from 2023.

It states its a "Letter Before Claim"

First off i am not the driver of the car although the car does belong to me, secondly one of the fines is from where I live and I had been in touch to get it cancelled from the landlords back in 2023, who have since sold the Housing Association to another HA. A blue badge was used on both occasions.

Included with the letter was a form asking me ti fill it out if I owe the or owe some or am I disputing the debt. Also a standard financial statement requesting my details.

Please help me i am at a loss as to what to do next.

Email the LoC response template to Oak, using the email address recently given on here in other recent Oak LOC letters and cases, written by member ChirpyChicken ( been quite a few recently, including yesterday. )

With regards to the Letter Before Claim

Would you suggest me contacting the Housing Association to try and get it canceled which i had already done back in 2023?

As for the parking bay it did not have clear signage back in 2023 when the car was parked for roughly 5- 15 minutes. Which.was previously free to park on.

I DO NOT have images from 2023 to prove this.

As i said before it is my car but I don't drive, my daughter is the designated driver.

I'm not good with all the legal terms and letters, changing all the wording is so confusing and I don't want to put the wrong thing down.

And my anxiety levels are hitting the roof. £170 for each fine is ridiculous but I'm wondering if i should contact them to say I wasn't the driver and say who it was to see if we could get it reduced. As you can tell this is all new to me and I have limited knowledge in this field.

But you aren't changing any wording. The LBC reply is already written.

(The 'through the roof' phrase is so overused it reminds me of "I hope this email finds you well". Both have become meaningless bot phrases that far too many people say. I'm not saying this isn't making you worry. I get that. But I'm fed up of hearing that silly Tiktok phrase trotted out)!

Anyway it is easy to reply to the LBC (or just choose to ignore it, if easier) but this detail in your post, I don't understand:

ParkingEye is a different firm than LDK Group. If you only have one LBC from daft newbies 'Oak Legal' which firm is it about?

For a start you are not reading the advice given stop thinking of these speculative charges as "fines" you will not find that word on any sign or letter because they are nothing more than invoices, this might stop you getting so anxious.

Please try to calm down and read the information with a calm mind set, you have already mixed up who the parking company is LDK is separate to Parking Eye, I imagine you mean LDK have used ANPR cameras "Parking Eye" is the name of a parking management company.

The regulars on here will help you but you need to give clear details.

In this case i would name the drive, this would remove liability in law then if they issued a claim you would have an absolute defence, i see so few LDK NTk's that dont even know if they are POFA/NON POFA

you dont do this on the basis of getting anything reduced as you need to get it out of your head about paying them ,

Yep you will never have to pay and it isn't a fine. Stop thinking of 'getting it reduced'.
