'noreply' and unmonitored mailboxes
I have just sent a boilerplate rejection of a debt and confirmation of service address to a legal company in connection with a parking charge using an email address I found in this forum, and I have received back an autoresponse stating that the mailbox is not monitored and I should use their portal (which I have little inclination to do as I assume the only options it will offer will be about how to pay rather than dispute).
When these companies claim these mailboxes are unmonitored is that actually true in practice or is this another sleazy trick to get you to call them and engage in negotiations? What is the standing of information such as a service address sent to a mailbox that responds this way?
Thanks
