Euro car parks

I stayed an hour beyond the maximum number of hours allowed while visiting my daughter. I didn't notice the time. My bad! Should I pay the fine?

    You don't have a fine.

Nobody pays these inflated invoices, all the time the industry remains unregulated.

Did you miss the BBC news last month about Euro Car Parks being investigated by the consumer protection regulator, the CMA?

Did you also miss the MSE Guide to Fighting Private Parking Tickets?

Did you also not see NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST which is two clicks away (see my 'signature' words below for where to click)?

    Read those and laugh. 🙂

I am visually impaired but have tried to read the stickies. It's a lot to read for me. Could you link me? If not, I'll keep reading. Tysm

Euro Car Parks tickets eventually go to DCB Legal who will then make a court claim. But, crucially, they only use the system to try and scare people into paying. They always discontinue and no cases go in front of a judge.

So just ignore all the DCBL threatograms you'll receive over the next 6 months and come back for reassurance when you receive a Letter Before Claim from DCB Legal.

Try asking the landowner to cancel because a visually impaired person may well need more time. A reasonable adjustment.
