More than one user account on Android phone

You can duplicate messaging apps like Whatsapp and Viber and use a second account on a Samsung phone.

If you have a Samsung Galaxy phone you can have two users - one as usual and the other in the secure folder
For example you can have two versions of apps running - one outside the secure folder and one inside the secure folder
the secure folder is treated like a separate phone

Steady! Are you sure?
The secure area is certainly isolated for apps, files and associated accounts (eg Google, Samsung) but don't think you can set up a phone user in there. Secure area also gets the same access to the phone functionality so no SIM segregation.
In fact this thread is rather mis-headed - there is no actual "User" (insofar as one would normally be identified with an ID or email address) associated with the phone, there are only a set of personal locks (password, PIN, biometrics) that allow the phone to be unlocked and used.
I use a phone daily that has no security set up at all, so no "User", it's used as a streaming source and emergency phone.

yes agreed - not phone it uses the same sim and number but as you say everything else is separate
But I thought the op was asking about different accounts not different phone numbers

Samsung Secure Folder creates a separate, encrypted and sandboxed environment on the phone using the Knox security platform. Apps installed inside it have their own application data and accounts, separate from copies of the same apps outside it. Samsung describes it as a protected space for apps, files and data, with its own authentication
Secure Folder is a user-managed version of a corporate fully managed device where the company imposes policies on the apps to be installed etc.

Unless I've misunderstood, the OP was asking about having more than one high-level 'identity' on a phone, although I note that the OP hasn't commented on the discussion since the OP.
Maybe if the OP were to return and explain further how they think such a set-up might be of practical use to them then maybe it'll be obvious why just buying a second phone isn't the answer.

I did say in the original post “Reading the thread about third party access to the NHS app made me wonder …”
If I recall correctly the author of that thread was talking about possibly using a separate phone to access his relative's NHS data. It might be easier to use a second identity on his main phone. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
