Guarantee on building work
We had a disabled friendly wetroom constructed under 3 years ago by a reputable builder - the toilet is leaking from it's connection with the "downpipe" on to the wetroom floor - how long a guarantee would you expect to be supplied with on this sort of work ?
ie) Would you expect the builder to fix it now - for free ?
We have nothing regarding any guarantee in writing
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

You'd be lucky to get even a 12 month guarantee, and I'd be amazed if a builder would consider doing work free of charge after 3 years.

You'll have to talk to the builder. If it's a small job he might consider fixing it.

#these joints can move, especially if toilet is sat on heavily, transferred off/on with slip and side on/off seat.
I cant see the builder doing it. However, remain polite and explain the situation, and ask if it's covered under gurantee (which its not after 12 months most don't bother coming back) and ask re the price; he may charge you min costs. Good luck.
