Is the fluff filter done up properly? On the last few machines I've had it's been accessible from a panel on the bottom front right. The panel itself is a hinged door, and behind it is a large plastic handle that unscrews to pull out the filter. If that isn't tight, or if the cap isn't on the little drain hose next to it, it will leak water in that area.

Rang AO this morning. They're sending an engineer out next Friday. It's to hopefully confirm the fault, rather than repair it. AO will then send out and install a replacement. So, surprisingly good news so far. My first post was a bit of a rant as I was a bit down on my new washing machine not working properly from the off.

Thanks for the replies regarding possible fixes… @Aylesbury_Duck the fluff filter and drain hose were fine. @Boohoo yes, I did get the two hoses mixed up, sorry. Everything is screwed in tight and not leaking from those areas.

I put the machine on a quick rinse cycle this morning, and checked underneath it as it went through it. I could clearly see water dripping quite fast from underneath the machine.

If you checked the pipes and all is dry and you say its leaking underneath then it could be a spring clip that holds the drain hose from drum to the pump may not be secure or there is a split.

When you done a wash did you notice water straight away or when the machine was draining ready for a rinse cycle?

If straight away on a wash then that' means it's not leaking from the sump/pump as there's an anti syphon thingy in the drum to stop water escaping from the drum.

As mentioned before turn off the water to the machine to be on the safe side.
